I think the greatest contribution to the diversity of my work has been learning how to develop and design shanecarlsondesign.com. I've never written any type of code before. But given today's demands for proficient web designs, I decided to take a class at BYU–Idaho that would help me learn coding languages. It's been one of my most satisfying decisions made in school and I've developed a fascination for SHTML, XHTML, CSS, PHP and Javascript.

Most importantly, I believe shanecarlsondesign.com demonstrates my commitment to visual flare, regardless of how difficult it may be to do so. In fact, when discussing the possible design and interaction of my webpage with an experienced web designer, I was told that my expectations were too high for a beginner and that I needed to stick to the basics. I couldn't accept anything less than my expectations, so I took the initiative to study all I needed to know in order to make my webpage function exactly as I had envisioned it.
